Underwear Bomber / The Right Response

December 28, 2009

Regarding the Delta Flight 253 successful passenger response to a Muslim attempt to blow up a plane over the US on Christmas: I have little to add to the following common sense links, except our nation will probably not do the right thing – profiling certain Muslims – until a few thousand – or a few million American citizens die under the banner of politically IN-correct ideas.

Muslim TSA agent searches a nun. I wonder if the “underwear bomber” would get past her.

WE MUST START PROFILING MUSLIMS AT AIRPORTS by Angry White Dude

The Conservative Monster (Mike Gallagher) had this video from Live leak (cant embed it, sorry. Right click below and open in new tab):

And if there’s any doubt about the Muslim connection of this Doctor Detonator from Nigeria who got his explosives via Al Qaeda (Islamic) in terrorist hotspot Yemen (Islamic) who lived in London (becoming Islamic) … here’s some evidence. (click any of the below articles from Jihad Watch. For those of you who like multiple sources for confirmation, Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch provides them in the articles):

And THIS is a sick twisted (yet expected) kicker from Barack Obama:

And Jasper Schuringa, the main passenger on Flight 253, is a hero because Homeland Security head Janet Nipolatano refuses to aknowledge the war that’s been declared against us, and Do The Right Thing about it.

Obama Fully Deserves the Nobel “Peace” Prize

October 9, 2009

From Wikipedia, this is under the heading for Alfred Nobel

The erroneous publication in 1888 of a premature obituary of Nobel by a French newspaper, condemning him for his invention of dynamite, is said to have brought about his decision to leave a better legacy after his death.[2] The obituary stated Le marchand de la mort est mort (“The merchant of death is dead”) and went on to say, “Dr. Alfred Nobel, who became rich by finding ways to kill more people faster than ever before, died yesterday.”[3] On 27 November 1895, at the Swedish-Norwegian Club in Paris, Nobel signed his last will and testament and set aside the bulk of his estate to establish the Nobel Prizes, to be awarded annually without distinction of nationality. He died of a stroke on 10 December 1896 at Sanremo, Italy. He left 31 million kronor (equivalent to about 1.8 billion kronor or 250 million US dollars in 2008) to fund the prizes.[citation needed]

The first three of these prizes are awarded for eminence in physical science, chemistry and medical science or physiology; the fourth is for literary work “in an ideal direction” and the fifth is to be given to the person or society that renders the greatest service to the cause of international fraternity, in the suppression or reduction of standing armies, or in the establishment or furtherance of peace congresses. There is no prize awarded for mathematics.[4]

It appears that Alfred Nobel – the inventor of dynamite – wanted a better legacy to leave. Therefore, in the last years of his life, he dedicated the rest of his estate to awarding people who made notable contributions to “non warlike” contributions to the earth.  Obama probably fits in the “fraternity” category, and fits the spirit of Alfred’s final wishes to hand out daisies, unicorns, and rainbows to the world. Here’s why Obama probably deserves it:

  • Freeing up terrorists from Guantanamo in the efforts to appease Islamic radicals.
  • When overseas, he disrespects US troops by not showing up to support them, but perhaps only for minutes to have his picture taken with them for personal promotion.
  • Pulls out of plans to support a missile defense shield for our allies, leaving them vulnerable, but removing the missiles leaves the impression that we’re not “war like.”
  • Sworn enemies of the United States love him: Every terrorist group (who had something to say about our election) came out in support of him. Jihadi fraternity, Obama style.
  • Announces to the UN his utopian dream of a nuke-free world … and says the US will lead the way in disarming ourselves in the face of a hostile world, like…
  • Talking … talking … and more talking … and more threats of more tough talking with maniacal Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, while Ahmadinejad plows on as fast as he can to get a nuke to bomb that “disgraceful blot” Israel and threaten the world.
  • Apologizing to the world for our “arrogance” (that clearer heads would call, “saving our allies butts from annihilation.” France: give me an “amen.”)
  • Ensuring our failure against al-Qaeda and the Taliban by not only ignoring the generals on the ground, but chastising them for making troop requests known. How peaceful is that? It’s peaceful to the world, because when we stop shooting, terrorists gain ground, and we mustn’t offend jihadists bent on subjecting the world to Islam by appearing non-peaceful to the world.
  • There are more examples I haven’t listed, and Barack Obama’s driving philosophy indicates more examples are on the way.

The Nobel Peace Prize is worthless now anyway. Alfred Nobel’s thinking was flawed; it assumes that if you play nice with everyone they will play nice back. History has proven over and over and over again this is not true. Nobel’s logic denies evil. Evil does exist, and it preys on ignorant people who placate it. The peaceful people stand up to bullies and protect the little kids’ milk money, even if they don’t have to actually throw a punch. That is what ensures real peace.

If this prize was worth anything, Benjamin Netanyahu would get the prize for standing up to evil psychotics in his own midst. Harry Truman and Winston Churchill should get it for their efforts to thwart the Japanese and the Nazis. The Nobel Committee is being true to Alfred Nobel’s wishes, but it is not being true to “peace.”

I’m no longer shocked that Obama won the Nobel “Peace” Prize.

“Fake Peace” pats the arm of “Real Peace.”

“The Muslim World” One Way multiculturalism

June 9, 2009

Even if you’re a die-hard liberal, test this article by Mark Steyn and see whether the moral dictates are only one way. If we had a “Organization of Christian Conference” in the UN, if we ever uttered “the Christian world,” OH would there be outcries of bigotry. It’s seems the world gives a pass for Muslims to be bigoted, and the PC thought says we should just sit back and take our beatings. I don’t believe that for an instant. Evil exists, and it must be resisted, just like Hitler. But will we take as many years or a nuke or two in our cities to finally take action? It is an utter falacy that flies in the face of recorded human history to think that we can talk the evil of Islamic Supremecism into playing nice-nice with us. As recently as last summer, General Motors filing for bankruptcy would have been the biggest news story of the week. But it’s not such a very great step from the unthinkable to the inevitable, and by the time it actually happened the market barely noticed and the media were focused on the president’s “address to the Muslim world.” As it happens, these two stories are the same story: snapshots, at home and abroad, of the hyperpower in eclipse. It’s a long time since anyone touted GM as the emblematic brand of America — What’s good for GM is good for America, etc. In fact, it’s more emblematic than ever: Like General Motors, the U.S. government spends more than it makes, and has airily committed itself to ever more unsustainable levels of benefits. GM has about 95,000 workers but provides health benefits to a million people: It’s not a business enterprise, but a vast welfare plan with a tiny loss-making commercial sector. As GM goes, so goes America?

But who cares? Overseas, the coolest president in history was giving a speech. Or, as the official press release headlined it on the State Department website, “President Obama Speaks to the Muslim World from Cairo.”

Let’s pause right there: It’s interesting how easily the words “the Muslim world” roll off the tongues of liberal secular progressives who’d choke on any equivalent reference to “the Christian world.” When such hyper-alert policemen of the perimeter between church and state endorse the former but not the latter, they’re implicitly acknowledging that Islam is not merely a faith but a political project, too. There is an “Organization of the Islamic Conference,” which is already the largest single voting bloc at the U.N. and is still adding new members. Imagine if someone proposed an “Organization of the Christian Conference” that would hold summits attended by prime ministers and presidents, and vote as a bloc in transnational bodies. But, of course, there is no “Christian world”: Europe is largely post-Christian and, as President Obama bizarrely asserted to a European interviewer last week, America is “one of the largest Muslim countries in the world.” Perhaps we’re eligible for membership in the OIC.

I suppose the benign interpretation is that, as head of state of the last superpower, Obama is indulging in a little harmless condescension. In his Cairo speech, he congratulated Muslims on inventing algebra and quoted approvingly one of the less bloodcurdling sections of the Koran. As socio-historical scholarship goes, I found myself recalling that moment in the long twilight of the Habsburg Empire when Crown Prince Rudolph and his mistress were found dead at the royal hunting lodge at Mayerling — either a double suicide, or something even more sinister. Happily, in the Broadway musical version, instead of being found dead, the star-crossed lovers emigrate to America and settle down on a farm in Pennsylvania. Recently, my old comrade Stephen Fry gave an amusing lecture at the Royal Geographical Society in London on the popular Americanism “When life hands you lemons, make lemonade” — or, if something’s bitter and hard to swallow, add sugar and sell it. That’s what the president did with Islam: He added sugar and sold it.

The speech nevertheless impressed many conservatives, including Rich Lowry, my esteemed editor at National Review, “esteemed editor” being the sort of thing one says before booting the boss in the crotch. Rich thought that the president succeeded in his principal task: “Fundamentally, Obama’s goal was to tell the Muslim world, ‘We respect and value you, your religion and your civilization, and only ask that you don’t hate us and murder us in return.’” But those terms are too narrow. You don’t have to murder a guy if he preemptively surrenders. And you don’t even have to hate him if you’re too busy despising him. The savvier Muslim potentates have no desire to be sitting in a smelly cave in the Hindu Kush sharing a latrine with a dozen halfwitted goatherds while plotting how to blow up the Empire State Building. Nevertheless, they share key goals with the cave dwellers — including the wish to expand the boundaries of “the Muslim world” and (as in the anti-blasphemy push at the U.N.) to place Islam, globally, beyond criticism. The non-terrorist advance of Islam is a significant challenge to western notions of liberty and pluralism.

Once Obama moved on from the more generalized Islamoschmoozing to the details, the subtext — the absence of American will — became explicit. He used the cover of multilateralism and moral equivalence to communicate, consistently, American weakness: “No single nation should pick and choose which nations hold nuclear weapons.” Perhaps by “no single nation” he means the “global community” should pick and choose, which means the U.N. Security Council, which means the Big Five, which means that Russia and China will pursue their own murky interests and that, in the absence of American leadership, Britain and France will reach their accommodations with a nuclear Iran, a nuclear North Korea, and any other psycho-state minded to join them.

On the other hand, a “single nation” certainly has the right to tell another nation anything it wants if that nation happens to be the Zionist Entity: As Hillary Clinton just instructed Israel re its West Bank communities, there has to be “a stop to settlements — not some settlements, not outposts, not natural-growth exceptions.” No “natural growth”? You mean, if you and the missus have a kid, you’ve got to talk gran’ma into moving out? To Tel Aviv, or Brooklyn, or wherever? At a stroke, the administration has endorsed “the Muslim world”’s view of those non-Muslims who happen to find themselves within what it regards as lands belonging to Islam: The Jewish and Christian communities are free to stand still or shrink, but not to grow. Would Obama be comfortable mandating “no natural growth” to Israel’s million-and-a-half Muslims? No. But the administration has embraced the “the Muslim world”’s commitment to one-way multiculturalism, whereby Islam expands in the west but Christianity and Judaism shrivel remorselessly in the Middle East.

And so it goes. Like General Motors, America is “too big to fail.” So it won’t, not immediately. It will linger on in a twilight existence sclerotic and ineffectual, declining unto a kind of societal dementia, unable to keep pace with what’s happening and with an ever more tenuous grip on its own past, but able on occasion to throw out impressive words albeit strung together without much meaning: empower, peace, justice, prosperity — just to take one windy gust from the president’s Cairo speech.

There’s better phrase-making in the current issue of Foreign Affairs, in a coinage of Leslie Gelb, president emeritus of the Committee on Foreign Relations. The president emeritus is a sober, judicious paragon of torpidly conventional wisdom. Nevertheless, musing on American decline, he writes, “The country’s economy, infrastructure, public schools, and political system have been allowed to deteriorate. The result has been diminished economic strength, a less vital democracy, and a mediocrity of spirit.” That last is the one to watch: A great power can survive a lot of things, but not “a mediocrity of spirit.” A wealthy nation living on the accumulated cultural capital of a glorious past can dodge its rendezvous with fate, but only for a while. That sound you heard in Cairo is the tingy ping of a hollow superpower.

Alarming Video

March 22, 2009

Watch it: you will never be the same.

Notice, this is not the usual “Death to America” chants from whipped up crowds, but of course there are tons of those videos. This broadcast from calm and well-reasoned Professor Al-Nafisi was on Al-jazeera TV in Qatar. And it is the norm of Islamic fundamentalist thinking. I’ve said it a zillion times: there are moderate Muslims, but there is no moderate Islam.

We just can’t be ignorant any longer. Help your sphere of influence to get educated of radical Islam’s desire to conquer the west. Twenty first century tools means that relatively few people – with outrageous weapons – can do amazing things to accomplish the will of Allah, that the whole world would submit (or die) to Islam. The easiest way when you bring up the topic, is to tell people to check out www.HaltTerrorism.com if they want some practical responses that every individual in the (still) Free World can do!

One comment on one of the sites hosting this video wrote, “Anyone (like Barack Obama) entertaining ideas of western democracies establishing friendly relations with the radicals of the Islamic world should watch this video. While watching the inflammatory rhetoric of the speaker, remember that this is not a Jihadist from Iran but a professor from Kuwait – a country with every reason to be grateful to the USA for liberating it from the tyranny of Saddam Hussein’s invasion.”

From the ACT national e-newsletter:

Juxtapose that video with the comments recently made by Homeland Security director Janet Napolitano. As the commentary below notes, Napolitano referred to Islamist terrorism as “man-caused disasters.”

As Diana West asks, “Is this a joke?” Unfortunately, no. Political correctness is running so rampant in Washington that the person charged with protecting our “homeland security” twists herself into an absurd rhetorical pretzel in order to avoid using the “I” word. [Islam] Imagine the scorn that would have been heaped on Franklin D. Roosevelt if, after the attack on Pearl Harbor, he declared war on “man-caused disasters”! That tells how much things have changed in Washington.

We asked yesterday “Why is our shared ACT! for America mission so important? Why is the Islamist threat so dangerous? Why is it essential that we overcome political correctness in America and awaken citizens everywhere?”

You see, we are not only fighting the evil of radical Islamists who are intent on destroying our way of life and replacing our law with shariah law. We are also forced to contend with the willfully self-deceived in our government who are more concerned with appearing respectable than with protecting our safety and liberty.

What can YOU do TODAY that will help us take one more step forward in combating this lunacy?

First, forward this email to everyone you know, and urge them to log on to www.ActForAmerica.org and sign up for our daily email alerts.

And second, call the Department of Homeland Security “Comment Line,” 202/282-8495, and let them know, in a firm but respectful way, that you are outraged and deeply concerned by Napolitano’s characterization of terrorism.

Another great site for getting educated and gearing up to resist quiet jihadists in our midst is to go to www.CitizenWarrior.com .
