Obama Fully Deserves the Nobel “Peace” Prize

October 9, 2009

From Wikipedia, this is under the heading for Alfred Nobel

The erroneous publication in 1888 of a premature obituary of Nobel by a French newspaper, condemning him for his invention of dynamite, is said to have brought about his decision to leave a better legacy after his death.[2] The obituary stated Le marchand de la mort est mort (“The merchant of death is dead”) and went on to say, “Dr. Alfred Nobel, who became rich by finding ways to kill more people faster than ever before, died yesterday.”[3] On 27 November 1895, at the Swedish-Norwegian Club in Paris, Nobel signed his last will and testament and set aside the bulk of his estate to establish the Nobel Prizes, to be awarded annually without distinction of nationality. He died of a stroke on 10 December 1896 at Sanremo, Italy. He left 31 million kronor (equivalent to about 1.8 billion kronor or 250 million US dollars in 2008) to fund the prizes.[citation needed]

The first three of these prizes are awarded for eminence in physical science, chemistry and medical science or physiology; the fourth is for literary work “in an ideal direction” and the fifth is to be given to the person or society that renders the greatest service to the cause of international fraternity, in the suppression or reduction of standing armies, or in the establishment or furtherance of peace congresses. There is no prize awarded for mathematics.[4]

It appears that Alfred Nobel – the inventor of dynamite – wanted a better legacy to leave. Therefore, in the last years of his life, he dedicated the rest of his estate to awarding people who made notable contributions to “non warlike” contributions to the earth.  Obama probably fits in the “fraternity” category, and fits the spirit of Alfred’s final wishes to hand out daisies, unicorns, and rainbows to the world. Here’s why Obama probably deserves it:

  • Freeing up terrorists from Guantanamo in the efforts to appease Islamic radicals.
  • When overseas, he disrespects US troops by not showing up to support them, but perhaps only for minutes to have his picture taken with them for personal promotion.
  • Pulls out of plans to support a missile defense shield for our allies, leaving them vulnerable, but removing the missiles leaves the impression that we’re not “war like.”
  • Sworn enemies of the United States love him: Every terrorist group (who had something to say about our election) came out in support of him. Jihadi fraternity, Obama style.
  • Announces to the UN his utopian dream of a nuke-free world … and says the US will lead the way in disarming ourselves in the face of a hostile world, like…
  • Talking … talking … and more talking … and more threats of more tough talking with maniacal Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, while Ahmadinejad plows on as fast as he can to get a nuke to bomb that “disgraceful blot” Israel and threaten the world.
  • Apologizing to the world for our “arrogance” (that clearer heads would call, “saving our allies butts from annihilation.” France: give me an “amen.”)
  • Ensuring our failure against al-Qaeda and the Taliban by not only ignoring the generals on the ground, but chastising them for making troop requests known. How peaceful is that? It’s peaceful to the world, because when we stop shooting, terrorists gain ground, and we mustn’t offend jihadists bent on subjecting the world to Islam by appearing non-peaceful to the world.
  • There are more examples I haven’t listed, and Barack Obama’s driving philosophy indicates more examples are on the way.

The Nobel Peace Prize is worthless now anyway. Alfred Nobel’s thinking was flawed; it assumes that if you play nice with everyone they will play nice back. History has proven over and over and over again this is not true. Nobel’s logic denies evil. Evil does exist, and it preys on ignorant people who placate it. The peaceful people stand up to bullies and protect the little kids’ milk money, even if they don’t have to actually throw a punch. That is what ensures real peace.

totally temp

If this prize was worth anything, Benjamin Netanyahu would get the prize for standing up to evil psychotics in his own midst. Harry Truman and Winston Churchill should get it for their efforts to thwart the Japanese and the Nazis. The Nobel Committee is being true to Alfred Nobel’s wishes, but it is not being true to “peace.”

I’m no longer shocked that Obama won the Nobel “Peace” Prize.

Why Obama? (I Was Wrong)

November 5, 2008

I was wrong.

This was really not an election for positive “hope” or “change;” This election was the final nail in the coffin of Bush 43’s presidency. Or should I say the final deafening peal of a few million angry railroad spikes being driven in to his coffin.

Because Americans are (usually) pretty smart. Americans in their right mind would never vote for

·        not just a “far” left candidate, but the farthest left candidate, who is on record consistently over time to support the “change” to socialist-styled wealth redistribution

·        gigantic spending increases in a time of financial crisis (indeed, that is what Bush did), and Obama supporters unwittingly voted for not just “MORE of the same,” but LOTS MORE of the same.

·        someone so blatantly against traditional – Godly – values

·        someone who by Joe Biden’s own words will be tested soon, and found wantingsomeone who doesn’t even know the nature of the enemy.

·        the least qualified presidential candidate ever, just because they want to see the milestone (and for whites: to overcome decades of slavery guilt).

Question: So why Obama?

Answer: Blind rage (against Bush).

America, Bush will be leaving the white house on January 20, 2009, no matter who won the election. I know many were swayed by Obama’s charm and smooth talkin’ slogans. Sure made for good sound bites. But for you angst-filled-Bush-bashers: couldn’t you at least wipe the sweat away from your red-hot fury-filled head to see clearly enough to vote for the wise choice?

I guess not. And I’m confident the shock of the president most people voted for will be felt at the very dawning of the Obama presidency. And wise Americans will help the pendulum swing back to the sane side with four years of chanting the new campaign slogan, “what have we done?”

In states across this great nation, Republican Senatorial and House candidates and Gubenatorial candidates were creamed with TV ads that stated they were “just like Bush” (whether they were or not didn’t matter; Bush hatred is a winning bandwagon). And of course Barack Obama himself pounded hard on the theme of “say ‘no’ to more of the same tired old Bush policies” theme, even though Obama proposes ancient economic democratic idiocy that will be far worse than Bush. The “hate Bush” tactic worked. Obama won not with superior ideas, but through the power of hate. I thought people in this country were smarter than that.

Yes, I was wrong.

Not about Obama,

but about the level of intense hatred  (I thought we were better than that)  and the power of harnessing intense hatred to spur an unqualified candidate on to victory – against someone who isn’t even running for president.

Barack Beats Bush in Bad Economics

November 4, 2008

On the biggest issue this election, which presidential candidates proposed economic plan is most likely to continue George Bush’s “failed policies?”

If you go by the rhetoric, you’d swear it was McCain that would continue the Bush policies. But it’s not; Barack Obama’s economic plan most resembles not just “more of the same tired Bush economic policies, but really MORE of the same tired Bush economic policies.

Follow me for a minute:

When faced with an economic challenge in your own house, what’s the best way to get out of it?

a)     Stop spending? Or

b)     use your credit cards to buy the stuff you “need?”

You already know the answer, and you know the candidate that plans to whip out the plastic (in our time of dire economic circumstances). Yet half the country thinks Obama has answer to our economic troubles! Half the country thinks Obama’s “whip out the plastic” solution is best.

What is the biggest problem with Bush economics over the last 8 years?

It’s what it always is: the spending. Yep, Bush managed most money things pretty good except the spending. Bush’s wild spending was the real downside of his economic policies.

And Barack wants 800 billion more in spending. Where is this going to take us? Further into the hole. In case you haven’t noticed – just like glancing at your own checkbook – we (the US) don’t have the money. Barack is set to charge us more into the hole.

McCain said he wants a spending freeze. Then McCain wants to surgically remove the worst parts of government spending that should probably be done by the private sector (more efficiently, no doubt) anyway.

If you want MORE than “8 more years of Bush” then you definitely want Obama.

If you want true fiscal responsibility, vote McCain / Palin.

Why Are We Even Having An Election?

November 1, 2008

Years ago, Dana Carvey summed up the O.J. Simpson trial:

“We’ve got a mountain of evidence over here, and Johnny Cochrane’s like, ‘Why are we even having a trial?’”

There is a mountain of evidence why Barack Obama should not be president; A giant mountain of evidence. His own running mate said about Obama “the presidency is not a job that lends itself to on the job training.” Biden even admitted that Hillary Clinton would be a better candidate that him.

Aside from my 22 point collection of disqualifications (see below: “Suspending Disbelief”), David Kupelian wrote an outstanding article on the trance-like power of envy in this election here (please read it, it’s excellent). But strange thing is that Barack supporters everywhere are totally glazed over at the prospect of “President Obama”. Hey I’d like to see the first black president in my lifetime, but I just want him (or her) to be the first qualified black president.

I think if Barack was videotaped in a lesbian sandwich on top of a nuke-filled crate with the words, “To Obama, Love Osama” on the side, Barack supporters would wildly applaud his ability to reach out and really connect with disparaged groups.

I think if Obama was videotaped shooting heroin while knifing small children, his supporters would gush that he understands the plight of the underclass and they’d applaud his expansion of post-birth-abortion.

It is just freaky the level of complete blind devotion to someone so far removed from American ideals.

I think if Barack signed over all U.S. sovereignty to the United Nations, gave all our nuclear supplies to Iran (for “peaceful purposes,” of course), and changed our national anthem to “Hitler Had a Point,” his supporters would say, “That’s cool. We deserve don’t deserve anything. In fact, Obama understands how arrogant we are in the world, and this is his gracious plan to humble us and improve our status in the world. We’re better for it. We should give all our riches away, because we are so bad and the rest of the world is so good.” That’s why Barack was so well received in Germany.

I think if Obama himself said, “God damn America,” he would be elevated to supreme potentate of the Universal Church of Barack. And millions would come to lay at his feet.

Oh wait, his worshippers are already here. Quick, drink the kool-aid.

Why are we even having an election?

‘Cuz this guy cannot be allowed to hold the highest office in the land.

“Y’all Are Votin’ for Obama Based on Nothin’ Subtantive”

November 1, 2008

This guy’s great. And right on too.

The street cred of this guy beats Joe the Plumber any day.

In presidential elections, polls show that generally 87% of blacks vote for the democratic candidate, no matter who it is. This season the polls show that is 94%.

Race is a lousy reason to vote for a candidate. Let me ask you this:

If Barack Obama were white, but had the same skimpy list of accomplishments, longtime shady associations, misplaced youthful utopian (and unachievable) dreams, and farthest left leaning voting record, would he still be the democratic nominee?

You already know the answer. And you know why you shouldn’t support Obama.

If we don’t vote with our head this election season,

We’re going to have a broken heart in no time.
